Function that lists your characters?

Hi,

I was wondering if there is some kind of function available that displays all your characters per server (or even per account).

I noticed that in addon setting profiles for example, all available characters are being listed.

In the add-on that I'm currently developing, I'd like to display a list of characters with checkboxes, and store the names of the checked characters in my table.

As far as I know there are no addon available functions that will get all your characters. What you would have to do is log into each of your characters and store the Server and Character Name from the appropriate function that gets the current server and character name.
