[Suggestion] Uninstall button

As I was going through the list of addons I have right now, and unstalling quite a few of them, a thought occurred to me - a lot of users will come to a point in their WoW careers when they have a lot of addons to uninstall. Many will use the Minion to do that now. Well, the "right click - Uninstall" is a little clumsy for this, I think - and the more addons a users has to uninstall, the better the chance they will get mildly irritated by the whole rightclickuninstall thing.

A simple solution: "Uninstall" button next to the "Update" one, on the right hand side. As a personal opinion, I think a simple red circle/square with an X inside would be more appropriate and aesthetic than another bar like the "Update" one (with a mouseover tooltip "Uninstall this addon" of course).

Another suggestion!

Allow users to install addons from the website directly through the Minion. Say, I browse the website, like an addon, but don't really feel like downloading it, going to the folder it went to, extracting, moving the files to another folder... Instead of all this, I'd love to be able to click "Install with Minion" somewhere in the Addon Information box, at which point my already-installed Minion opens and installs/updates the addon automatically.

You can already. In the top left you will see a search area. Type in... for example... "quest". This will bring up a listing of addons related to and/or that has the name. Then you click install once you have selected it.

Hehehe, that's what I said too, when ArgentSun first said it, then I re-read. ArgentSun isn't asking about searching from the updater, but instead from finding a mod while browsing around on the site, and when hitting install, it opens up Minion and installs it from there. Basically, asking for two buttons here on the site. One being the existing "Download", the other being "Install via Minion".

Yes, a feature like that would be nice. But always keep in mind, links that launch applications from your browsers could potentially do malicious things ;-)

But with the security model already in place in Minion, that should not pose a major problem...

No real need for an uninstall button as I see it. You can right click the addon in minion list and select uninstall.

No, not real need, but it's something small and nice. I don't think it'll be hard to implement, nor will it be heavy on the program. It's more of a cosmetic suggestion, not a must-have.

I foresee many people uninstalling addons purely by accident if there were a button there. Still possible right clicking and selecting uninstall by accident. I know im personally clumsy enough that a button like that would drive me insane hehe.

Then again ill wager most folks are as click-by-accident happy as i am =P
