Mapster - Hide Borders?

How do I get the minimised map to have all the unneeded gfx hidden (like in the 2nd ime "Minimized Map without Borders")

Here is a screen shot of my options.. NOTE that the "Hide Border" (witch is what I think i need to use) is Greyed out... Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

i am having problems with this too.

with all my addons enabled, Mapster malfunctions in various ways (for instance, trying to enable the world map completely hid my UI).

i deleted Mapster and its saved variables, and re-installed "from scratch" (Mapster v1.4.1). still broken. so i disabled everything except Mapster, verified that things worked as desired (they did), and then enabled a few addons at a time, looking for conflicts. i got everything re-enabled again, without mishap.

after all of this, things seem to be working much better. however, i do still get some frame graphics (various buttons, check boxes, and text).

edit: woops, now it is broken again (though it works with everything except Mapster disabled). dunno what could be happening. i will go through the addon validation process again, more carefully.

hmm... that was kinda weird. Downloaded to test it, and as you said the border wouldn't go away. But sometime when I was PvPing in TB and opened my map, the border was gone. Idk what did it but it worked until I went back to org ><

So far as i recall cities tend to look like that with mapster. It has always done that so far as i can remember. Not sure if anything was changed for that behavior in 4.1.

Outside of cities as in the first screen shot is all expected behavior.

Do you get the borders only in cities or all the time?

EDIT: As I recall the border counts as the default blizzard frame around the map. Much like what is around the default unit frames.

Open the world map and look at the upper right corner of the frame. You should see two buttons there. One is the "X" button to close the map, but the other one is an arrow pointing diagonally downward from right to left. Click on that and you should get the map to look the way you want. You may have to close and reopen the map for it to work, though, after clicking the button.

Click on the pictures to see a larger version.

The "arrow button".

The buttons and resizing handle reappear on mouse over.

I use Carbonite, so you might be able to imagine what I went through to do this.

By-the-way, I had a map that looked like the one you have in the lower right of your screen while I was experimenting with this in Orgrimmar. Went out of Org, and it looked like the posted pictures. I'm thinking it has something to do with Blizzards capitol city maps. They all seem to be rectangular.
