custom quest sounds?

I would like to customize my quest complete sound, I tried replacing the questcomplete.ogg file with my sound and named the same but it will not play? has this been blocked or something? because it seemed to have worked for others in the past. or is there an addon that can specifically play YOUR sounds, ive been doing some digging for it and no luck so far. some help would be awesome.

*I tried a variety of sound configs and still no luck, kind of disappointing that it doesnt seem to be customizable in this manner I was looking forward to having facemelter as my complete sound.

just for clarification the file you added is indeed a .ogg sound file and is named exactly like the one in the snd folder? QuestComplete.ogg?

yuppers same everything, and it doesnt play a sound afterwards.

I was able to customize my sound with no problems. If you have renamed/moved the original file and making sureyour file is a playable .ogg file it should work. Make sure it is called QuestComplete.ogg including the capital letters and in the right folder. GL

ive figured out how to add multiple new sounds to Carbonite and have the selectable like the default ones

Now what I would like to see is a feature to play a sound when you complete sub parts of a question.

Ie, "Collect 10 wolf paws"

Each time you pick up a wolf paw and the quest requirement changes 1/10 - 2/10 etc, you hear a ping (or some chosen sound) - this is very handy.
