Dashboard

I'm new to wow and really enjoy this interface. Is there a way to make the dashboard transparent?

At this time, there really is not short of making your own dashboard textures. And, as I have pointed out in the past, half of what is behind the dashboard is actually and empty black rectangle, anyway, so it really would not look good fully transparent.

There are some alternate dashboard skins you can find here: http://www.wowinterface.com/download....html#optional -- the thin gloss black one would be the one that comes closest to what you're looking for.

This bug has now been fixed and will be in the next update which will be released sometime this weekend.

Base nUI doesn't use any external mods at all. Spiel wrote the whole UI himself from scratch.

All of the elements you see in the screenshots are nUI on it's own.

I'm not sure if you're asking which mods nUI works with or which mods are used to make nUI itself. If you are asking which mods you can use WITH nUI, the answer is pretty much any mod you like. There are very few mods that nUI is not compatible with. If you're asking which mods were used to make nUI, then Marthisdil has already answered that as nUI is 100% custom stand-alone code -- it does not rely on any third party mods.

Hya guys,

been awhile since my last post but been to busy levelling to 80 and stress test nUI that I forgot to post the little "bug" / annoyance I found and tbh I have read most post starting from the last posted known issues post but I could not find anybody else reporting this one.
When spiel made the minimap a tiny bit bigger I noticed that pushing some of the buttons right above the minimap can only by pushed/clicked when positioning the mouse 30% up from the bottom (aka only the top 70% of the button can be clicked). This is nothing major and I believe a consequense of having a minimap which fits the square a bit better.

Something else I would like to make a suggestion/comment on is from the todo list:

Add autobar style support for quest items, food/drink/pots, mounts, vanity pets
Could you please make it so it is modulair ? Why? I use some other auto-macro addon's like Buffet, Mounted, EWOlson_ConsumablesMacros and IHML (when it was working, so really only need a replacement for that in Northrend) which just give me an ingame buttons which I can place and keybind whereever I want. I would really like such an approach over the traditional autobar one which just creates an additional bar which will potentially mess up my bar/ui layout. Furthermore such an approach would stick with the whole direction nUI has taken uptill now, (re)use Blizzard default functionality and not add complex/extra code.

PS if my bug has been reported please feel free to slap me and tell me to reread the posts

No worries... this bug actually was brought up and has already been noted as being fixed (to be in the next update) but it may have been on another board. In any event, it has been addressed and will be out this weekend.

nUI: Integration [ButtonFacade] has been updated. I think I've nailed the dual hot key display issue. Please let me know if it still persists.

This mod is simply stellar. Hands down the best UI mod I've ever used, and I've tried nearly all of them..including mazzle when it was fully functional (previously my favorite of all time, but is now a close second to yours, in my book).

Kode - you seemed to have fixed the duplicate hotkeys issue However, now, I'm getting some random screen flickering as well as a big green box around the main hotbar (last button). You can see it in my attachment. Wasn't there before with the previous version of your integration (and yes I did remove the previous version since the folder name changed).

Good Morning,
i want to remove the Combat log from the Frame on the right side and will bring it back to the left side like the wow standart.

Then i would create an new chat window at the right side where the combatlog was before.

how can i do the.

I actually know what that green box is... is the button highlight frame which is used to indicate that the button refers to an equipped inventory item... that's default Bliz behavior and my guess would be that ButtonFacade is breaking the scaling of the button or is injecting its own highlight frame into the button and failing to scale it.

Chsmi -- thanks much for the feedback and the kind words. The text issue is sometimes and issue, you are correct. This happens most notably in three places... the location text at the bottom center sometimes overflows the box, the target names can sometimes be too long for the unit frames and macro names can be too long for the action buttons (the latter one is handled by chopping off the end of the macro name). One of these days I'll get around to prettying the other two up as well.

OK - as Scott posted in the thread, the green box does go around a hotkey to show that it's an equipped item. Disabling the Integration mod and the green box is the exact border of my = hotkey (which is a trinket).

Did some running/standing around the inn in Dalaran (like I did early this morning) and not noticing the screen flickering with the mod disabled.

Re-enabling the mod, the green box is back (like in my screenshot)...so Scott is correct in what he says it is.

The screen flickering hasn't come back yet, so for now I'll chalk that one up to the gfx driver or something weird Will let you know if it happens again!

Well, yes, it is possible. The thing is that if I make that click-through, then I have to give up the right-click-to-cancel feature of the aura buttons.

hmm, doesnt sound to fun, but its really anoying when i accidentally have my mouse over them and uses my keybinds (not 1-9 binds), cant use keybind if i mouse over them...

* Enabling the "Use UI Scale" option in the Bliz video configuration menu blows up
nUI's layout and scaling. For now... just uncheck this option until I can fix it.

* Carbonite is having issues updating the directional arrow when the minimap and/or
battlefield minimap is hidden in the info panel

* Poison Pouch mod minimap button is missed by button bag

* Alpha Map minimap button is not scaling correctly in button bag

* Titan Panel is causing an error when the bottom bar is enabled

* Titan panel mouseover tooltips are not compatible with nUI's fixed position
tooltip option

Known Bliz / nUI compatibility issues...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

* Right clicking a unit frame and selecting "set focus" taints in combat == this is
a known WoW 3.0.2 bug and beyond nUI's control. Hopefully Bliz will address it in
the next patch.

* Switching between windowed and non-windowed mode breaks nUI's textures and HUD -- this
is caused by a known Bliz bug in their video driver code and applies only to certain
graphics cards and video drivers. It is nearly random in terms of which mods it will
impact... anything from very complex to completely trivial mods are broken by this
bug but it is always mods that use custom textures. There is no fix. The only
workaround is to (a) avoid switching between windowed and non-windowed modes as much
as possible and use '/nui rl' to reload the user interface when it gets broken. It is
worth noting this bug affects Macs most often, but also impacts some PCs (such as
mine). This bug has been a round a very long time and no telling if or when it will
ever be fixed.

* If your mouse buttons 4 and 5 do not work for click-casting on unit frames, make
sure your mouse driver is sending mouse button clicks and not key presses. You can
do this by going to the key binding interface and trying to bind autorun to mouse
button 4. If the key binding does not say "Button 4" or "Mouse Button 4" then the
issue is your mouse driver or driver settings. Bliz does not support key-presses
as mouse clicks directly and mods like Clique cannot detect key presses in that way.
