REQ: Building A Options Config Menu Tutorial

Is there a tutorial out there that teaches a reader how to build a options configuration menu like those used in Cosmos and CTmod? I would like to build one of my own for the mods that I use, but I do not know where to begin. Thanks!

Edit: Of course, I could just learn how to add myAddons support to all of the mods I use and have 75% of my work already done for me. Heh.

I would actually be very interested in a tutorial/walk-through of how to do this as well. It's the last thing I need to figure out before I put the finishing touches on my compilation.
