nUI+ roll / Who is bug.

Hello,

I've used nUI+ for a while now and it's amazing.

BUT:
I have Prat / Parrot as my own text improvements because i like all their features.. but for some odd reason when i log to my DK i cant see the Who is or my rolls .. /roll or Shift clicking a name works.. (ive asked others about the rolls) and they see them, but i don't. I've tuned my nUI+ to perfection (for me atleast)... but i can't seem to fix this.

Help would be awesome!

I'm not sure what the issue would be here. As far as the chat frame and what-not are concerned, nUI's only interaction with it is to set the location and to show/hide the buttons when you mouse over it. That's it.

If you disable Prat/Parrot and try to use it, does the who and rolls work?

Also, there is an option in Bliz's interface menu now for whether or not to display roll results, so you might want to make sure that is not turned off.

nope.. turned them off and no results whatsoever. I am yet to discover the option in Bliz' interface menu though?

Weirdest thing of all.. my gf's warlock (on another account) is fine.. with nUI and the other addons installed .. so i switched the WTF folders to try and fix it but no results either..

Maybe the option could fix the Who is / Roll function?

Hmm, I've never noticed that problem and I've used Prat for ages. But I also haven't seen the rolls option. I'll have to take a look when I log in later on.

If this is only happening on one character, then this tells me you might have a corrupt lua file in that characters folder. Go into your WTF folder and find your DK's folder. Inside of your DK's folder will be another folder called Saved Variables. Delete the two Prat files you find in there (they will be recreated when you log back in). Test and see if that fixes the issue.

Quick suggestioin: Intergrate Prat with nUI?

I've opened a ticket @ Blizzard's EU GM but i've not had a response in the last 6hours..

I really have no clue why i suddenly can't see my rolls when i do /roll or see Who is when i Shift Click..

Well out of the ones you listed these are the ones I am using now with no problems:

Atlas / Atlasloot Enhanced
DBM
Prat 3.0
nUI+

Instead of Omen and Recount I used Skada but I did used to use them until 3.1 I think.

You're using a short list of mods, so this is fairly simple... disable *ALL* of your mods, including nUI. Can you see rolls and who results?

If not... you have a problem unrelated to mods.

If you can... enable nUI and test again... can you see rolls and who? If not, let me know.

If you can see who and rolls in nUI, enable your other mods one at a time and test after each one. When the rolls and who stop working, you'll know which mod is causing it.

I fixed it. A simple /resetchat put chat to Blizz original and all is good now..

Still:

Can Prat be intergrated with nUI+? It's a big improvement in my opinion..

Lots of nUI+ users use Prat -- it shouldn't be an issue

Since nUI does next to nothing with the chat frame, what exactly would you like the Prat integration to do? I've been using Prat for quite a while with no problems whatsoever. To call Scott "lazy" (even in a joking manner) is way unfair, considering that integration is completely unneeded on top of the fact that Scott has been putting out an updated version of nUI practically every week for the last few months.

As far as the /roll issue goes, it seems to be another new glitch with blizz. Lots of people are having this issue where they do not see rolls or cannot see a specific persons rolls. This is also being aggrivated by rolling mods and /random. There is now a difference in how blizz recognizes /random vs /roll. Recent experiences in my raids have shown where some people can see one but not the other.
