Looking for a good combat text addon.

Hey guys. I've looked through the addons and could only find SCT.
SCT only shows damage towards you, but no towards the target(Unless I'm bugged?).
And I want a addon that shows damage on screen. I really liked the basic one that blizzard made, but I managed to delete that one when I installed the new interface
Anyhow, if anyone could help me out i'd appreciate it alot.
Thanks

MSBT is probably the gold standard. SCT always mangled my framerates, so i quit using it (though that was a while ago, your mileage may vary). just to make sure i was doing everything i could do for my framerates, i have recently been playing with:

Parrot

it seems comparably configurable. i need to try benchmarking the two, Parrot vs. MSBT. have not had a chance yet. they are probably comparable... and if so, i would probably stick with MSBT. both are current mods, actively maintained, but MSBT just seems easier to configure for me (perhaps as a function of what i am more familiar with).

Parrot can also be found here, here, and via the WoWACEUpdate (WAU). WoWACE (of course) and Curse seem to have been more recently updated than WoWInterface.

I've used all three. SCT is a classic and the grand-daddy of combat text mods. I tried MSBT for awhile, and though it's highly configurable, it just wasn't for me. Parrot is my recommendation since it works like a charm for me, with just a couple tweaks.

Try all three and pick your favorite.

Try MSBT. I use that one.

...on the other hand, if you're want to use SCT you need SCTD for outgoing damage.

I've played with all the named addons as well, but after all MSBT is still my (personal) favourite.

But it's a matter of taste I'd say, so trying all of them is probabely the best idea....

I'm using MSBT as well and it was by far the easiest to setup to do what I wanted. Also it's the only one I've been able to get working to show my hunter's pet incoming damage (in addition to his damage output).

MSBT is the golden choice indeed, never tried Parrot, mostly because Im so in love with MSBT that I'd never have to change.
