Trying to hide/edit default borders and frame for dropdown menus

I'm trying to figure out how to modify the default frame for this, and I know it has something to do with creating a file in /interface/tooltips, but I wasn't sure if there was a simpler way, or where to get started if I had to make my own frame for this/ what to name the file once I created the frame.

Or if there was an example frame I could look at to get started on making my own.

I used to use rant, and recently switched to tiptac, and I'm not sure if thats what has caused this to become an issue recently or not.

Any help would be appreciated
