Achievement Tracking Problem

I have a tendency to reuse old names of characters I have already deleted. The problem is that when I reuse the name the achievements I was tracking on the old deleted toon are the ones that are showing for the new toon. This wouldn't be so much a problem if I didn't play both sides and some achievements are different on the two sides. How do I clear the achievements that are tracking? I have tried selecting and deselecting in the achievement windows but this does not work, just adds a new line. I have completely deleted and reinstalled carbonite and cleared my cache in wow. Any other suggestions?
