I get that error everytime I try to open the guild list. I have to reload the ui without any addons so that I can access guild control; as I am a guild leader for my guild. If this is my fault somehow please give me an idea of where to start then? I have no idea what is going wrong.

See if it happens if you disable "GuildGreet".

I disabled Guild Greet as requested and I got the exact same error code minus Guildgreet in the list. Thank you for your timely response, unlike mine. lol

The reason I asked about GuildGreet is because there are lots of references to "GuildControl ..." and "FriendsFrame" and such, but absolutely no mention of Carbonite.

Do you get the error if Carbonite is the ONLY enabled addon? IE: Log onto a character with all addons disabled except Carbonite. That is the only way to tell if Carbonite is causing your error. The best way to do this is to start WoW, and when you are at the character selection screen, select your character, then hit the "AddOns" button in the lower left of your screen. At the top of the "AddOns" window on the left, choose your character from the drop down list. Then go through the addons list disabling them all manually, one by one, except Carbonite and it's modules. DO NOT simply hit the "Disable All" button unless you want to enable each addon you are using for each of your characters the next time you play them. The "Disable All" means exactly that: It disables all of your addons for all of your characters.

Sorry about the long explanation, but I find it's better to type it all out ... and cover most, if not all contingencies .... than to just let it go.

Or it might be "AraBrokerGuildFriends". Just a thought.

I tried Ara broker guild/friends but that passed. I am at a loss for what else could do it. I tried the first test and that passed so the problem is with some other addon failing. >< Thank you for sharing your time and energy in responding though

You're quite welcome. Please allow me to add this, though: The only way to be absolutely sure that Carbonite is actually causing your error is to disable all of your other addons, enable only Carbonite, and re-enter WoW and open the guild pane. If you get the error, obviously Carbonite is the culprit. If not, then start re-enabling addons (a few at a time) until the error pops up again. Then just go back and disable the addons in the last group and re-enable one at a time until the error appears again. Problem found. Also, there is no "Frame.xml" or "FriendsFrame.lua" file in any Carbonite folder.

Time consuming, yes, but the only way I can think of to find the problem.

1. Update CT Core from v3.310 to v3.311.

I love the things that CT Core can do but they seem to have a history of causing massive FPS loss after patches.

2. Disable Notes on Friends list in CT Core options. You can leave notes active for Ignore List, Guild List, etc. but the only fix I found was to uncheck them from the new Friends List.

CT Core will put its unique 'notes' icon on the viewing area. The only way I have found to remove this is to uncheck the Notes on Friends list and reload the UI.

3. You will need to reenter notes into Blizzards default notes system.

I had a ton of detailed notes that I lost. It may be possible to salvage them from a copy of my account folder but I'm at work and not at the home computer.


It's possible, if we give the CT Mod team some time, they will issue an update that will re-add the notes we have into the new Friend List without losing our notes.

It's also possible that another addon is causing additions issues for you. I know that CT Core needs to be updated and the Notes on Friends List check mark needs to be removed for now.
