Vocabulary: Focus

This is probably obvious, but in many mods, there is an option for "Focus"

Like Show Focus target... and such.

What does Focus mean?

It's the player you did /focus on when you had them targeted. If you have a focus, and try to cast a heal on yourself, it will cast it on them instead iirc; the same goes for debuffs too.

It's like a second target frame. Some healers will set the MT they're assigned to as focus so that they can always keep an eye on them. Sometimes I set a boss as focus so I can keep tabs on it if there are adds in the fight and I want to watch the boss's health or have an easier time retargeting it. Mages will also set their sheeped targets as focus to watch them and resheep easier.
