Hello Grayhoof, got a sure-its-answered-a-thousand-times-before question O:-)

Well i was doing my own addon with some message broadcasting on it, thing is i got an idea which was to use your SCT as a pattern to display the messages. Ok, so i managed to get it working but however i though not everyone has SCT installed and was trying to make a way to check if it is enabled on the current user.

I mean, does there exists a way to make a check without making my addon not usable without having SCT as a dependency?

My addon parses a text sent via channel and then proceeds to display a message depending the key obtained in the parse. I think structure should be that one:

if (SCT IS ON) then
   SCT:Display_Event("SHOWHIT", "MESSAGE", 1) -- according to last SCT way to display events
else
   UIErrorsFrame:AddMessage("MESSAGE!",1,0.87,0.40,1,2); -- simple raid waring-like text
end

So you see, what i'm asking is what should be in the "SCT IS ON" part of the if? Is that possible? And of course, i am doing something not legal (or at least your are not agree with) by using your SCT:Display_Event function?

How can I reduce the height of the SCTD frame? The text scrolls a little bit too high for my taste. Tell me what to change in the code and I'll do it (tried finding it myself without any success).

About to pull my hair out over this one.

SCT stopped displaying the amount my bandages heal me for. Bloodfang procs quit showing up.


I have reset the options. Deleted SCT/SCTD. Deleted the SCT options in WTF.

Reinstalled. Still does not show hots cast on me or my bandages.

PLEASE HELP!

please note: Sliders are set at 0.
Problem also with hots cast on me. Hots I cast on myself on priest/druid.
Hots cast on other people.

HOTS of any kind do not appear.

Solution to problem:
inside config.wtf

SET CombatLogPeriodicSpells "0"

This is added when you uncheck all the options for blizzards scrolling interface.

I'm not sure if this can be done with SCT or SCTD, but 'm asking anyway:

Is there a way to have SCT/SCTD display when I get Mace Specialization stun procs with my Rogue?

I've checked the combat log, and when I get such procs, it appears as:

Naga Explorer is afflicted by Mace Stun Effect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

With the new hunter level 62 ability, Steady Shot which gains a bonus when a target is dazed, it might be nice to have a Daze alert similar to the Parry alert.

Ive just found out that you could change the language in SCT, by doing something with some .lua files in the SCT folder. ive tried a littel to change the language, but it dosent seems to work at all. I would be happy if you could tell me exactly how to change the language in SCT.

Hi!
SCT is throwing the text "Finish It" when Execute is available for my 70 Warrior, and "Execute" when it is available for my 60 Warrior.

I'd like for it always to say "Execute" but I can't find a string anywhere in the .lua that customizes the text.

How can i add in a /yell or /say msg to SCT when mace stun proc's? i found the bit about announcing it to me when it does but i want to make it so it says "Mace Stun FTW" in /say or /yell form...thanks In advance

Hello to anyone who can help me out, was just wondering if I could change the text I see for execute. I know you can change the low hp/mana, parry, all that stuff in the localization file but notice there isn't execute in there. So I went digging into the sct.lua and saw what looks like execute calling on a blizzard handler or something? I just want to change what it says when I can execute :P Any help would be appreciated.

im just wondering if this mod is still in development and if there are plans to do a release for wow 2.3 as blizzards ui keeps reminding me that my addon is outta date

As always, most recent versions can be found at http://files.wowace.com but Grayhoof is very good at keeping WoWI up to date with release copies. This addon is not dead and still works very well with 2.3 - using the version from this site. Just check the "load out of date addons" box that really means nothing except for blizzard to nag you.

hey guys this might sound dumb but i have looked everywhere to fix this error..
i no that my sct is working because when i cant a heal on me it shows:
+5165 {123} = healing touch

but when i want to access the menu using /sct menu i get an error saying
that its disabled.. also when i use /sct reset this comes out.

@hellborn - well I have a similar error in thorns it says 6 Nature (113) but when it resists it says Resist (Thorns) and im told I have it installed wrong so you must have yours installed wrong too. Dont worry though I do not have it installed wrong it just plain does not work properly.

Hi there!

After seeing it at a friends place I downloaded SCT.
Sadly SCT always gives me the following error (tried several Versions):

I tried renaming my interface and WTF folders, but that didn't help either...
Anybody know what's going wrong? SCT won't function at all with this error.
