Deranged

I thought maybe I'd get a little more feedback if I started a thread about this project.

Basically, it's a system to alert to buffs, currently it works with;

- Self, party and raid buffs.
- Weapon buffs.
- Temporary weapon enchants.
- Weapon poisons.
- Animal forms and mounts.
- Area based buffs (Shaman totems, Paladin auras, et cetera).

It also has the following methods of alerting (this option set applies itself individually to every buff);

- Scrolling (SCT or MSBT support)
-- Show your alerts in SCT/MSBT, however you want.
-- Configurable colour.
-- Configurable animation direction.
-- Custom alert gained/lost text (can include aura and unit name).

- Whisper
-- Remind someone to recast a buff, let them know if they have.
-- Can set who to whisper to.
-- Custom alert gained/lost text (can include aura and unit name).

- Yap
-- Talk your alerts...
-- Select: Say, Party or Raid.
-- Also has the option to print to the chat-frame.
-- Custom alert gained/lost text (can include aura and unit name).

- Racket
-- Buff sounds!
-- Set separate gain/lose sounds for every buff.
-- ...so if you want that roar when you bear-form stuff, you got it.

- Reminder
-- Set a timed reminder for lost buffs.
-- Can set a number between 1 and 60.
-- That number can be toggled between seconds/minutes.

With utilities included to;

- Copy settings between buffs (including optional overwrites).
- Rename buffs (in case of accidental typos).
- Utilities to surgically wipe selections of data, as desired.
- Create a Test aura and run it to see how your settings will look.

Much of this is encapsulated within its own modules, so if there's a part of the above you don't want, you just slot it out. I strive for Lego with my mods, where each module is properly segmented and encapsulated to what it does (much like the Cartographer/FuBar plugins, for instance). I'm not sure whether I succeed on this but it's what I shoot for.

This mod has full support for both FuBar and Niagara, so there should be GUI support enough to suit everyone's tastes.

Not sure what else to say about it so I'll get to the meat of the matter, I've been trying to drum up interest in it because the Party/Raid support is pretty new, I've actually managed to simulate party conditions myself to a degree for the purpose of testing and it all looks good but simulations are nothing compared to testing something in the field. Those I know who use Addons don't like testing in-dev Addons and those I don't know so well in-game, I tend not to impose upon. That's why I'm looking for testers here.

I'm also looking for feedback, any ideas as to future directions for Deranged would be appreciated, as would feature requests, bug reports and so on.

Deranged here on WoWI.
