Unfortunately, my key does not work as well. Having same problems as mwblythe. Hopefully it gets fixed before my day off

I was hyped that i got a key (thanks to wowinterface ) then i noticed this topic :P

Okay, favour to ask of you guys: I need one (1) person to send me a PM with their bnet email address and their key number, please. Blizz wants it to try to help with their tracking of the issue.

My key also comes up as invalid. I'm trying to use the new battle net on the United States side. Hope this info helps. Tracking number 00240

Actually the 21st of July patch is one that takes your 4.0.0 install all the way up to the latest build. I just reinstalled the beta yesterday and instead of using the archived patch installers I had in the folder it went straight to downloading and installing the 7/21 patch.

We're currently duplicating old content like we did with the StarCraft 2 Beta. We'll start merging stuff in the future but right now we're more concerned with testing content.
With the new build they're now stripping a lot of that old content they duplicated out.

This is why it's only 1.36 GB versus 2.93 GB. The old patch installers had redundant patch data in them.

Nope. Hard to give a time frame when they aren't sure what the problem is. Debugging code can take moments or hours or days. At least there are more people with keys when they do get it sorted out, though. As soon as they tell me it's fixed, I'll post.
