The background is class/reaction colored, health is transparent - thus it's showing the background of the frame at full health, not an actual bar texture.

Like I said it's based on Slim, basically no changes to the layout itself. I just threw in the textures to see how they look. I'm currently working on border textures for other frames, like minimap, tooltip, etc. To make an interface out of it. Might change the bar appearance, later on, too.

The question is if the art will be good enough for a whole UI.

Ah ha ha! Well, it looks kind of old... meaning Diablo 1 old :P But, I like the art none of the less. Continue IMO just to see how it turns up

I can't wait to see how it turns out! Love it so far; way better than the oUF_Slim and WildheartUI hybrid I've been inexpertly working on. This is what I've gotten so far; the font is a bit of a relic from using it with another interface, it's all heavily in flux atm. Your stuff always inspires me to grander ventures!

The aged/used/old look is intended, I might have overdone it a little, though. Might change that later, PSD layers, FTW.

I also think the texture might be a bit too flat, it needs some kind of grunge stuff in it to make it more appealing.

I'd also style the buffs a bit more

Looks great so far!

Some more progress:
- changed the transparent bar texture, thus creating a less flat hp look
- thinner tooltip and minimap border
- tooltip healthbar moved inside of tooltip and added an extra line for health value
- changed font ... again
- added border around unitframe auras



Not sure about font choice. I want to go with a serif, because I think it fits best, even though I hate them.

Not quite satisfied with the border around auras, yet. But maybe it's just me.

Here's a full-size shot of the Slim-Wildheart frankenUI. The change are actually a bit immense; went from kgPanels to LitePanels too, and spent a good couple hours figuring out how to set a backdrop for the oUF frames rofl. I'm proud that I figured it out without bothering anyone Ellipsis/TinyDPS only have cursory config at this point. Party frame needs a little work, widening may be important.

Wow that is great! If its ok with you I might just do my lay out just like that and make the unit frames skinny like yours. Great job

Absolutely! I'm glad you like it so much If I can contribute anything, let me know how lol and I'll be happy to try! Most of the art is just re-scaled and assembled from what you had there; the only thing I added was I changed the background texture to a parchment texture I yanked from the Darkmoon Faire event page.

I too have come back to the board with changes. (looks for approval) lol. anywho, i've started to like my UF's down by my action bars like a lot of you, instead of up there in the top left corner.

i played hardcore since vanilla to wotlk (naxx) and released some ui the last on wowinterface but now i am a casual player i have not more time to dedicate at ui like before

I would have to insert a modified (by me) slicedice(evl) addon between the player and target frame :O

To be fair, he just showed a screenshot, didn't claim the "skinning" as his. Nor is almost anyone in this topic when showing screenshots giving credit for X or Y for elements of their UI. With this said, I'm not saying you don't deserve the credit for it
