Ranks

I didn't want to make a thread about this but I really was extremely curious and was wanting to know, what do our ranks mean? Like my rank, 'A Deviate Faerie Dragon'. Does it mean anything? Do we get anything special? :P How do we advance in ranks? I'm just curious is all :O
