Spell Alert and Infobar

Hello everyone, I have searched the forum for this issue and did not find an answer as I have for other problems like with bartender so I thought it wouldn't harm asking.

Is there a way to display wow's native spell alerts? I'm playing a DH and I would just like to know when it's procing a talent (Felblade), when I click "Show elements" in the config bar it says it should appear but it doesn't; in the interface options under Combat the opacity is at maximum.

Additionally, with r19 the left third of the infobar has a white background, is this intended ?
