Man, haven't seen anyone else call dinner "dindin" other than my family. I have a brother who had brain damage at birth. He's a cool guy, and sometimes makes up words for stuff. He calls dinner "din din" occasionally, so others started to use it too

Edit: Hmm, just googled it. Apparently it's not as uncommon as I thought. Ack, alas.
