Possible to force variable to save?

Hey there, somewhat new to modding and I'm looking for some help. What I want to do is force my addon to save sensitive variables on command. From what I understand, variables aren't actually saved in the file unless you logout or reload the UI. I'd like to make that happen immediately without the need to reload the whole UI. Is there a way to reload just my addon so that it's variables will be saved in the file immediately and quickly?

Since you're already aware of when your variables get saved (logout/exit, reloadui) the answer is simple:

no

Thanks. I wasn't sure if a Load On Demand addon that was unloaded and reloaded would save that or not. Guess I'll have to stick with the reloadui option.
