I use kenergy from wowace.com it works most of the time, the odd error here and there.

Same with almost every Unit Frames addon (XPerl does it and also for the 5sec mana regen tick). But he said he want something simple, so I guess just the timer part.

I know I could not play without one on my rogue, both in order to open the fight just before the energy tick to get minimum regen time and to properly time the subsequent combos.
