in Localization.lua

Hmm, looks like my name converter missed names for some of the new maps. I'll have to fix it tomorrow, since I've been up all night and need sleep.

First one should be something like this:

["The Cape of Stranglethorn"] = "Das Schlingendornkap",
["Northern Stranglethorn"] = "N\195\182rdliches Schlingendorntal",

Stranglethorn Vale will be split into two zones: Northern Stranglethorn and the Cape of Stranglethorn

The second one is strange.

already exists.

i have tryed this:

(sould be right)

but it shows unkown map Ruinen von Gilneas (2 20)

i have tryed several different comibations also loocked into the translation-lib.

@paprika "already exists." its already in the file try searching the name.

That's what i was talking about. The new Stranglethorn-areas seems to be missing, the Ruins of Gilneas are not, but we get the same error.

The non English names came from Cataclysm beta game files. I'm updating my WoW EU install now and this is the first thing I will be fixing today.

Still working on it.

I found the missing map names, but Blizzard calls both Ruins of Gilneas and Ruins of Gilneas City, "Ruinen von Gilneas", which is messing up the map code.

Yes, can`t wait for Carbonite-Fix, too! Im trying to reach lvl 80 this weekend and carbonite is a great help 4 me. (Using the german client).

An hour of Alt-keypad, copy/paste of Cyrillic letters, reading web pages and nothing, so I'm giving up on that. I will be blindly pasting the MapNames table I generated from the Russian AreaTable.dbc file and hopefully it works or someone else can edit it.

It is Localization.lua in the Carbonite folder.


Search for ruRU and scroll down a bit and you will find:

NXlMapNames = { -- RU
....
}

Below that are the old ones:

--[[ OLD!!!!

--]]

All the entries in there have been updated, but I have no way to test it on a Russian client. I changed the code so if a name can't be localized it will print all of them to chat instead of just one before the Lua error happens. Any names that print need to be fixed like so:

["Ahn'Qiraj"] = "Ан'Кираж",
^^^............. ^^^
English ===== Russian

Farther down you will find:

NXlTaxiNames = { -- RU
...
}

Those are less important and probably will work fine.
