Icon Removal

I'm new to WOW and recently found nUI. I'm having a problem removing any icons that have been placed on the icon bars. I can replace any icon with another but can not remove any icon already on the bar back to a vacant spot. When I initially start a profession icons are randomly placed on the icon bar which I want to move to other locations but so far I can't get rid of the existing icons other than just putting something else in its place. I've tried all of the keyboard/mouse combinations I can think of without success so far. Any help would be appreciated.

Icon Removal

Ok...figured it out by accident after messing with it. Holding Shift then clicking on the icon lets me grab the icon I want so I can discard it. Thanks anyway.

I'll add, too, that you can press "Escape" to open the WoW system menu, select "Interface" and "Action Bars" -- there's an option there to lock the action bars. Click it off and you can move actions at will without using the shift key.

You'll want to lock the bars back again when you're done so you don't accidentally drag actions off while in combat.
