Satellite usage question

Is it possible to have the functionality of onSpace and onTab callbacks without defining a custom chat type? I have a command to begin a DKP auction, and pressing Tab cycles through the five most recently seen item links (this works fine). But there's no need for a chat type--I just want the command to be more friendly.
